Two $25.00 Gift Certificates to the Darling Online Shoppe Hand Picked Daisy
Have you ever looked at something and it made your heart happy? That is how I felt when I received my new journal from Hand Picked Daisy. I must confess, I have always been, and will probably always be, a journal geek. I love to record my feelings, experiences, and thoughts. And I love it even more when I go back and read those feelings, experiences, and thoughts. It helps me to remember special times in my life, reflect on experiences that have shaped who I am today, and it reminds me of little things my children have said and done that have long been forgotten. Oh, the beauty of the written word.

Oh, the beauty of the written word.
So when I received my beautiful journal from Hand Picked Daisy and it was wrapped in lovely paper, tied with brown twine, with my name carefully placed on back, I was in journal-geek heaven. And not only did I order one for myself, but I also ordered one to give to my six-year-old daughter for Easter. She loves to write and I know she will enjoy writing in her pretty journal from Hand Picked Daisy. After our journals arrived and I saw how great they were (and at such an excellent price), I ordered one for three other people (I’m not going to reveal who—they may be reading) for a birthday, Mother’s Day, and a friend who is experiencing a hard time due to illness. If you are one of our winners today, you could use your gift certificate on a journal from Hand Picked Daisy for you or to give as a gift to someone you know.
But let’s suppose journal writing isn’t your thing, that’s okay, because you could also use your gift certificate on a perpetual calendar which will help you to remember the birthdays of the special people in your life:
And then you can spend the remainder of your gift certificate on buying one of those special people a card which also doubles as a gift because it comes with adorable magnets:

So in a NEW comment leave your first and last name and tell us a good prank you have done to someone, someone has done to you, or one of which you have heard.
Example: Jane Doe: Our neighbor told my husband his aunt needed some advice on something. Our neighbor asked my husband to give his aunt, Myra Mains, a call. When my husband called he asked, "Is Myra there?" The person on the other end asked, "Who?" My husband said, "Myra Mains." Come to find out my husband had called a morgue and he was asking the employee if his remains (Myra Mains) was available to speak.
The winners of the products from Hand Picked Daisy will be announced tomorrow, Wednesday, April 2nd. Please visit us then to see if you are our winner and to check out our new giveaway for the day.

Cindy Price - One year, I tricked my husband. About a week before April 1st we had major leak under the kitchen sink. Oh, how he hates to fix the plumbing!! Anyway, he got it all repaired with umpteen trips to the hardware store. When he came home from work on April's Fool's Day, I shared with him the troubling news that the kitchen sink was leaking again. At first he didn't believe me. I'm not sure how I managed not to giggle!! But I had him look under the sink and there was a convincing bucket filled with water!! Too funny!! He was very relieved that the pipes were still good as new.

Jill Washburn: When my sister and I were little, we lived in the midwest and had snow days. Mom and Dad told us that we had school on a Saturday (which just happened to be April 1st) to make up for it. They even went so far as to get us up, get us dressed, get us COMPLETELY ready for school before they gave my sister a note "for her teacher" - then they made us read it on our way out to the bus stop and it said April Fools. It was at least 25 years ago, but I will NEVER forget it!

Becky Jensen: My mom was the April Fool's queen. She did crazy stuff all day, every single year. She would change my clock during the night so I'd wake up and think I was late for Seminary, then when I was in the shower she would hide all my underwear. When we were in grade school and she was making our lunches she would often put hard-boiled eggs into them. But on April Fool's they were raw and when we'd crack them they'd go all over the table. Cruel!
Janice Checketts: We were remodeling the house and put a toilet on the neighbors front lawn.

One year I placed a rubber band on the kitchen sink sprayer, (tried and true prank), so that whoever turned on the water they would immediately get sprayed. Just remember that "you" did it because it back fired on me. I was the one who forgot and got sprayed all over. The kids laughed so hard and I was embarrassed because I was trying to get them. "I Fooled Myself" Needless to say I am more careful of where and what I do so that I don't get myself ever again.
Another year I put the kid's clocks forwar 1 hour so that when they woke up it was an hour earlier. I made them a very good breakfast though. Eggs, bacon, & waffles so they weren't too mad.

Jenny Brown
Megan Leonard - The night before April Fool's one year we went to my dad's office building and put trash bags over all the toilets on every floor except the first, and signs on all the doors telling people the bathrooms were out of order and they had to go down to the first floor to use the bathroom. It was pretty great.
And this morning I tried to pull the whole "your shoelace is untied" thing on my roommate... it didn't work :( so I don't recommend that on anyone over the age of 6. Hehe.

He asked for his daughter's hand in marriage and the dad started going off, quoting her patriarchal blessing...etc. His dad lived in the Philippines and they don't celebrate April Fools day there so he was clueless. Finally the roommate took the phone back and tried to calm his dad down.

The best April Fools joke I remember is when I was a kid. We all ran down stairs screaming for our babysitter. We told her the toilet was overflowing and there was poo everywhere...hee hee. She freaked out. What parent subjects a babysitter to their kid's on April Fools. It was soo innocent. But we still talk about it.
