Tonya Allen: My mother in law makes the most comfortable beautiful blankets. She made me a fleece blanket out of the most beautiful fleece (appliqued leaves, embroidery, etc). I love that blanket. Kara Bagley: Right after September 11th I made a rag quilt designed like the American Flag for my grandmother who was ver sick and didn't make it through the next year.
Emilee Turner: When the first great grandchild was born to my grandmother (so my cousin's baby) she wanted a quilt made for her. I love to sew and volunteered for the job. Ever since then I have made a quilt for all the "new additions" to the family. Only the oldest 4 cousins have had kids (7 blankets made) and there are 10 cousins total, so I am guessing I will keep busy with baby quilts once everyone is married!
