Today, August 11th, we are Giving Away...(CLAIMED)

A 2 person Deluxe Guardian 72 hour kit retailed at $89.99

My Dad always told me, BE PREPARED! Weather it was for a big test, or while driving right after I got my license or if I was going into a potentially dangerous situation (like possibly backpacking through Europe.) So today's featured company is going to help us get prepared in a very important way- with 72 hour kits! One of the worst scenarios I can think of would be a time where I could not provide my children with food, water or medical care. I want to be able to take care of my family and I'm sure you do to, so here is some help:

At Ultimate 72 Hour Kits their goal is to provide you with a high quality and reliable 72 hour kit. All of the kits come pre-packaged in either a backpack or container for easy storage and accessibility. Their 72 hour kits are light weight, durable and come fully equipped with everything you will need to get by for a full 72 hours. Having a 72 hour kit in your home will give you and your family peace of mind. Also, at Ultimate 72 Hour Kits they believe you should be prepared not only at home, but everywhere your life takes you. For this reason , they have also prepared 72 hour kits for the office and car. Ultimate 72 Hour Kits wants to make sure you and your family will always be prepared.
Here are some of the other specialty items they offer:

Kits specially designed for kids: A great tool that can be used a variety of ways: A filtration bottle so you can have fresh water ANYWHERE:

And they also have a lot of items that would be great for camping. So check it out and get your family prepared. And Ultimate 72 hour kits will help you out by offering FREE shipping for our readers (and that is a great deal on a big bag full of items!) Just enter the code GIVEAWAY in the redemption code box.

You can enter to win the Deluxe Guardian 72 hour kit up to FOUR times today, as long as you reside in the United States or Canada.

For one entry, leave your first and last name in a comment.
Example: Jane Doe

For a second entry, please visit Ultimate 72 hour kits here. Look at all of their products to get you prepared and then return to Give Away Today. In a NEW comment tell us your first and last name and an item you think your family could really use.
Example: Jane Doe: I need a 72 hour kit for each person in my family!

For a third entry, see those buttons on the left-hand side? They are Give Away Today's sponsors--thank you sponsors--we love you! For your third entry today we would like for you to visit at least three of their sites (and no, we don't get paid each time someone clicks on their button). We just want you to visit them because they have amazing products and some of them are even offering discounts to you. Once you have visited at least three of our sponsor's sites, you get a third entry. Tell us which sites you visited.
Example: Jane Doe: I visited Red Rock Relay (to check out the course again, can't wait to run in that), Sophie's Chic Boutique (made a mental note to order more squeaky shoes) and Toy Box Tee (because I love to look at their creative tees.)

For a fourth entry, tell us about a time when you were in an emergency situation.
Example: Jane Doe: My husband and I were smack dab in the middle of Hurricane Floyd's path when we were living in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We had to flee with all of the other residents of Myrtle Beach. Therefore, it took us four and a half hours to drive out. It was a mess, but I admit, a little exciting.

The winner of the kit from Ultimate 72 Hour Kit will be announced Wednesday, August 12th. Please visit us then to see if you are our winner and to discover our new giveaway for the day. See you tomorrow!

Ginny Wood : I'd start with the basics...7 72 hour kits. I can't manage that part, how on earth could I justify all the fun optional toys!

Chad and Elizabeth said...

Elizabeth Moore: I visited Say It On The Wall because I can't wait until I have a place I can decorate how I want, Toy Box Tee (such a simple but super cute way to give a personalized gift!), and Milan Maternity because my BFF is pregnant right now and I like to find cute stuff to pass on the her!

When I was 12 I went to a Job's Daughters convention in Grand Island, Nebraska. There was a tornado warning, with green skies & all, and we were sent to the basement of the (really really old)jail to wait it out. Good times!!

I love the water filtration bottle. I've really been thinking about our water storage.

Chad and Elizabeth said...

Elizabeth Moore: I grew up in Florida so we've had our share of hurricane experiences. In my senior year, we had three bigger hurricanes take place helping us miss a lot of school. Our power went out the morning of my 18th birthday and didn't come back on for six more days. My dad grilled my birthday dinner including my cookie cake! Times were tough with no power but it is still good memories with my family!

My husband was not home and it was hard to keep my kids from feeling scared when I was feeling scared. We stayed in the closet for about 30 minutes and then came out. We found out that a tornado never touched ground but some harsh winds came through destroying parts of our neighborhood. I was thankful that we were all safe.

Cheryl-Lynn Adams: I lived in Spokane WA during a firestorm (I think that's what it was called). I was in elementary school and evacuated to a random high school. My Mom had taken my Dad to the airport and wasn't able to get back into our subdivision (where my school was) so our dog and bird were left in our house for the time we were evacuated (over 24 hours). My Mom eventually tracked me and my siblings down and we stayed at some people's house from our church. Even if we'd had 72 hour kits- they probably would have been stuck at our house. The fire came within a street and a house from our house.

Raysha said...

Raysha Palmer: My husband and I were driving along on the freeway late at night and all of a sudden traffic was at a standstill. My husband wasn't prepared and we were in a accident. When we finally got back on the road (still in stopped traffic) we realized we had a flat tire. We pulled off to the side of the road to wait for help. I had to pee so bad and had to use a stuffed turtle that was in the car to wipe with. I would have loved a kit with some TP!
