Have you ever received a Thank You card from someone to whom you had sent a Get Well card? Believe it or not, I actually did last month. I sent my friend, who unfortunately broke her pelvis in an ATV accident, this card from Any Horrible Occasion:
The inside inscription reads, "Like a Kidney Stone"
She sent me the thank you card to let me know that the card had made her and her husband laugh and that it had brightened their day.
Mission Accomplished.
Last week I sent another friend, who had something unfortunate happen to her recently, a scarf and this card from Any Horrible Occasion:
The inscription reads "When it rains, it pours"
She sent me the following in an email:
"Just want you to know how fun it was getting a flippin' awesome scarf in the mail along with a flippin' awesome card that made me laugh and cry all at the same time. Love the card...it's so my kind of humor. Thank you so much for taking the time to brighten my day."

Any Horrible Occasion has this to say about their unique cards:
"Your best friend was just diagnosed with cancer. You're looking through the card racks and see yet another sympathy card with pretty flowers and 'I'm so sorry!' printed in fancy letters. Seriously? Yes it's terrible. She has two dozen cards to remind her of how everyone is solemnly thinking of her 'in this difficult time'. But where's the card to make her laugh?? Always funny and never mean, Any Horrible Occasion cards talk honestly about the worst that life dishes out-- divorce, cancer, taxes, menopause, and yes, even a birthday."

I whole-heartedly agree with Any Horrible Occasion's theory. When I received their cards for review, I was having a good ole' time reading and laughing at the cards. On the back of each card you'll find funny facts (some true, some not) about the famous painting or sculpture pictured on the card (those little facts had me in stitches).
Allow me to show you just one more of my favorites:
Inscription: May all your dreams for retirement come true.
The thing is, when you read one of their cards, you will know just the right person to send the card. But be warned: after you send it to that person, be prepared to hear how much he or she liked it.
Want to hear something that's just as cool as Any Horrible Occasion's cards? They're offering the readers of Give Away Today FREE SHIPPING for the rest of November on orders of 3 or more cards. You will need to select "Free Shipping" when you place your order.
