Today, November 5th, we are Giving Away... (CLOSED)

Two Pairs of Shoes from My Shoe Shoppe

You know when you're seven months pregnant and it's almost Christmas time and you go shopping with your sisters and you think, "What am I even doing here?" Nothing fits! At all! So finally you just go sit down on a bench and watch and wait...

That ever happen to anyone else?

It happened to me two years ago. After retiring to the closest bench, I handed my sisters my Christmas money, and asked them to surprise me with some new shoes.

And surprise me they did with Bright Red Flats. I thanked them and then went home and put the shoes on a high shelf in my closet.

Because at that point in my life bright red flats were a little out of my comfort zone. But then something happened. One day I took them off of that high shelf, put them on, and I have never looked back.

What is my point with all of this? The point is shoes are a big deal. You have to wear shoes with every outfit you wear and believe me, shoes can make or break an outfit.

But where to find fashionable, yet affordable shoes? I'll tell you--My Shoe Shoppe! They are a home party business, specializing in fun and affordable shoes and boots for women. Their shoes are $24.99 or less and their boots vary in price from $19.99-$39.99.

My Shoe Shoppe offers gorgeous heels. My sister has red heels and I do not.
But I really want some.

Purple would be fun too.

My Shoe Shoppe has great boots. In black.

And Brown. And grey. And even yellow.

I searched all summer long for some turquoise flats (you know, because now I am a wee bit more daring with my shoe color), but to no avail. That is why when I found these little pretties at My Shoe Shoppe, I was thrilled: (and yes, they also come in RED)
My Shoe Shoppe sent me a pair of those as well as a pair of these:
They go with everything. And since I am constantly chasing a twenty-month-old, I am so glad they are flat (and not to mention comfortable).

I want to show you just one more pair of my favorite shoes from My Shoe Shoppe and then I promise I will not put pictures of myself on Give Away Today again for a long time (because twice in one week--sheesh!)

These high heels go with everything. I am wearing them in the above picture with a pink dress. I also wear them with a black dress, and skirts, and the occasional jeans.

Are you looking for a little extra money for the holidays? Well good, because that means My Shoe Shoppe is looking for you. They are currently hiring consultants. They will give you $100 off their start up package for consultants. They are looking for help nationwide, and specifically in Utah County.

Today My Shoe Shoppe will be giving away two pairs of shoes. One pair will be from their "Current Line" and one pair will be from their "Clearance Line." Winners can choose the shoe they'd like out of the galleries, as long as their size shows available/in stock.
No matter where you reside in the world you can enter to win up to FOUR times today.

For one entry, leave your first and last name in a comment.
Example: Jane Doe

For a second entry, please visit My Shoe Shoppe here. Look at their vast array of stylish shoes and then return to Give Away Today and in a NEW comment tell us your first and last name and what you would like if you win.
Example: Jane Doe: I need a new sneaker. The Sahara-51 would be great!

For a third entry, become a Facebook Fan of My Shoe Shoppe here. Once you become a Facebook Fan or if you are already a fan in a NEW comment tell us your first and last name and "Fan"
Example: Jane Doe: Fan

For a fourth entry, in a NEW comment tell us your first and last name and a pair of bad shoes you have owned.
Example: Jane Doe: Once in college I really wanted these brown Doc Martins. I found the exact pair I wanted at a store in the mall, but they only had them in size 6-1/2. But I am a 7-1/2, so what did I do? I bought them anyways. By the end of a very long day at campus, my feet were KILLING me! I had to walk home barefoot--and believe me--it was not a short jaunt. Luckily my roommate and friend, who is the other half of Emily Squared Circus, and I went out for ice cream to ease the pain (of both my feet and a $100 down the drain)

The winners of the giveaway from My Shoe Shoppe will be announced tomorrow Friday, November 6th. Please visit us then to see if you are our winner and to discover our new giveaway for the day. Thanks!

Last year I bought some sneakers for working out in. I wanted something light weight and comfortable since I went walking a lot then. They work alright for walking, but my feet tend to get sore after a while. The other day I tried them on for working out with a DVD in my home. OUCH!! They hurt so bad just after a few jumping jacks. I had to switch to my regular sneakers to finish the work out. Turns out they are ok for walking but not working out. It's because I don't have arches and theses did not have any arch support either. I spent a lot of money on them too.

Just starting out I didn't have much money, who does though, so I would wear them and they would hurt so bad by the end of the day. Every night I would ask for a foot massage. To top it off they were not even cute! Never again!

My worst shoes: A gorgeous expensive pair of tan heels that squeezed my toes every time I wore them. I kept them forever because they were so pretty, but finally gave them away.

Lee Bay: for my birthday, my 3 year old son and husband decided I needed a pair of pumps. They were cute, but they are CHEAP! I wore them once and couldn't walk by the time we got home from church. I'm sad that I can't wear them but I surely prefer being able to walk!

Kristen and Ryan said...

Kristen Kissell - when I was in middle school I begged and pleaded for these brown shoes...they kind of looked like men's dress shoes. anyways, I finally got them and the first day I wore them they killed my feet. I'm talking quarter sized blisters! But I couldn't tell my parents and every day I would put bandaids everywhere and wear them to school (of couse, I walked to and from uphill both ways!) Ouch!

Jeanette said...

jeanette allday: this is crazy, but i don't remember a pair of bad shoes that i have had. but i can think of a lot of really, really great ones. (and none of them have been expensive because I'm cheap like that) :)

Shelley said...

Shelley Rollins- The worst pair of shoes I had was these black flats I had been wanting forever. The store didn't have my size either, so I got the next size up. I couldn't keep those shoes on for the life of me. :(

Heather said...

Heather Brown - I rushed out just hours before my high school graduation to find a pair of shoes because they said they had to be a certain color. Of course they didn't have my size in anything in that color, so I had to wear shoes that were a size and a half too small. :/

Dave and Tricia Folsom Family Fun said...

Tricia Folsom - I bought a cute pair of clogs from Last Chance but they were a little small when I bought them and they were pure torture everytime I tried to wear them!

Mary M: When I was a teenager, many, many years ago, I bought some black patent leather, pointed toe, high heel shoes. I thought they looked terrific, but they made my feet hurt. However, I continued to wear them until I came to my senses! acptuser(at)hotmail(dot)com

Heather said...

Heather Brown - I like the Blossom Collection Inn 1 shoe in black.

Sarah Freitas: I once worked at 24 hour fitness as a front desk receptionist (my worst job ever btw -- and that includes being a maid at a hotel!) and they made us buy and wear white athletic shoes. Well, I had no use for athletic shoes since I'm not into sports, and if I bought some I definitely wouldn't pick white. So I found some somewhat athletic-looking white tennis shoes that were Roxy brand. And I decided that they were cute enough and I would wear them more than just at work. After every day at work my feet would be ACHING! The shoes were heavy and uncomfortable. Definitely not anything that you would ever want to work out or play sports in! And with no chairs to ever be able to sit on at work, those shoes absolutely killed my feet. Thankfully, I only had to wear them for a couple of months -- since I was able to find a new job.

I got them...they were mine. Here it is 11 years later and I still own those shoes. Live and learn.
