Today, November 5th, we are Giving Away... (CLOSED)

Two Pairs of Shoes from My Shoe Shoppe

You know when you're seven months pregnant and it's almost Christmas time and you go shopping with your sisters and you think, "What am I even doing here?" Nothing fits! At all! So finally you just go sit down on a bench and watch and wait...

That ever happen to anyone else?

It happened to me two years ago. After retiring to the closest bench, I handed my sisters my Christmas money, and asked them to surprise me with some new shoes.

And surprise me they did with Bright Red Flats. I thanked them and then went home and put the shoes on a high shelf in my closet.

Because at that point in my life bright red flats were a little out of my comfort zone. But then something happened. One day I took them off of that high shelf, put them on, and I have never looked back.

What is my point with all of this? The point is shoes are a big deal. You have to wear shoes with every outfit you wear and believe me, shoes can make or break an outfit.

But where to find fashionable, yet affordable shoes? I'll tell you--My Shoe Shoppe! They are a home party business, specializing in fun and affordable shoes and boots for women. Their shoes are $24.99 or less and their boots vary in price from $19.99-$39.99.

My Shoe Shoppe offers gorgeous heels. My sister has red heels and I do not.
But I really want some.

Purple would be fun too.

My Shoe Shoppe has great boots. In black.

And Brown. And grey. And even yellow.

I searched all summer long for some turquoise flats (you know, because now I am a wee bit more daring with my shoe color), but to no avail. That is why when I found these little pretties at My Shoe Shoppe, I was thrilled: (and yes, they also come in RED)
My Shoe Shoppe sent me a pair of those as well as a pair of these:
They go with everything. And since I am constantly chasing a twenty-month-old, I am so glad they are flat (and not to mention comfortable).

I want to show you just one more pair of my favorite shoes from My Shoe Shoppe and then I promise I will not put pictures of myself on Give Away Today again for a long time (because twice in one week--sheesh!)

These high heels go with everything. I am wearing them in the above picture with a pink dress. I also wear them with a black dress, and skirts, and the occasional jeans.

Are you looking for a little extra money for the holidays? Well good, because that means My Shoe Shoppe is looking for you. They are currently hiring consultants. They will give you $100 off their start up package for consultants. They are looking for help nationwide, and specifically in Utah County.

Today My Shoe Shoppe will be giving away two pairs of shoes. One pair will be from their "Current Line" and one pair will be from their "Clearance Line." Winners can choose the shoe they'd like out of the galleries, as long as their size shows available/in stock.
No matter where you reside in the world you can enter to win up to FOUR times today.

For one entry, leave your first and last name in a comment.
Example: Jane Doe

For a second entry, please visit My Shoe Shoppe here. Look at their vast array of stylish shoes and then return to Give Away Today and in a NEW comment tell us your first and last name and what you would like if you win.
Example: Jane Doe: I need a new sneaker. The Sahara-51 would be great!

For a third entry, become a Facebook Fan of My Shoe Shoppe here. Once you become a Facebook Fan or if you are already a fan in a NEW comment tell us your first and last name and "Fan"
Example: Jane Doe: Fan

For a fourth entry, in a NEW comment tell us your first and last name and a pair of bad shoes you have owned.
Example: Jane Doe: Once in college I really wanted these brown Doc Martins. I found the exact pair I wanted at a store in the mall, but they only had them in size 6-1/2. But I am a 7-1/2, so what did I do? I bought them anyways. By the end of a very long day at campus, my feet were KILLING me! I had to walk home barefoot--and believe me--it was not a short jaunt. Luckily my roommate and friend, who is the other half of Emily Squared Circus, and I went out for ice cream to ease the pain (of both my feet and a $100 down the drain)

The winners of the giveaway from My Shoe Shoppe will be announced tomorrow Friday, November 6th. Please visit us then to see if you are our winner and to discover our new giveaway for the day. Thanks!

Amanda Nokleby: I ordered a pair of shoes online once. They were flat, pointy toe shoes with a faux leathery snake skin-ish print, and I thought they'd be perfect for work wear, especially since I walked to work. Well, I put them on for the first time, and immediately notice how slippery they are. The bottom was a completely smooth and shiny surface, not the ideal surface to have beneath your feet when you walk. So, I made it out of the house, but nearly slipped and fell several times on my way to work and then once I got to work. Those shoes were cute, but I knew they'd be the death of me, so I got ride of them.

I'm confused lately about shoe buying! I bought a cheap-o wedge at the GAP outlet recently that is the most comfortable "teacher shoe" I have ever worn. I bought some beautiful, far more expensive Naturalizer heels that leave my feet sore and exhausted at the end of the school day. Harumph.

My worst shoes were a pair of pastel green suede ugg-style boots. I don't know what I was thinking except that they were only $10 on clearance. I only ever wore them in the house because I was too embarrassed to be seen in them.

Meggera said...

Megan Larsen. Some of the worst shoes I have ever had are actually the most expensive ones. I bought them right before I got pregnant and have not been able to put them on again out of fear. They are smokin hot black peep toes from Aldo. One day... maybe, i will try them again.

At the time, I thought that they were the perfect pair of shoes...they were black with different colored stripes and I thought that they would go with anything. I broke down and bought them and quickly found out that they looked horrible with any outfit that wasn't plain. They sat in my closet for at least a year and I finally gave them away to Goodwill.

Sherrie Looper - When I was pregnant I was desperately searching for a comfortable pair of sandals to save my aching feet & back. I found a little shoe store in our town which catered to super-ergonomic-comfy styles. I found a pair of black sandals, which were really no more than an uglier version of Birkenstocks (can you believe that?), but they seemed to sooth my aches. So I snatched them up, took them to the counter, chatted excitedly with the sales lady about finding them, handed her my credit card and then saw the price tag - $300! Crap. At that point I was too embarassed to back out, so I took them home & worried all day about facing my hubby about the overpriced shoes. (He laughed)

On top of all that, they were fugly and made my feet sweat horribly and stunk to high heaven. So not worth it! Eight years later I still get ribbed by DH about my $300 pair of preggo shoes. :)

A pair of bad shoes I owned and actually still do,
are a pair of steel toed hiking boots. They are really expensive boots, but they are too tight in the top of the toe area, and I think that's because the steel is taking up alot of the room.
I only wear them when I'm a passenger on hubbies motorcycle, the are safe, but really, really are uncomfortable to do any walking at all in. Wish I'd never bought them.
