Today, March 11th, we are Giving Away... (PRIZES CLAIMED)

A Chic Apron and Swim Diaper Cover from Olive Jane Designs

If you’re going to be working hard in the kitchen, why not look cute doing it? Olive Jane Designs is here to help with their very hip aprons. The talented seamstress behind Olive Jane Designs loves her work and it shows in the quality of her products.

My daughter owns this adorable and high-quality skirt from Olive Jane Designs. Each time my daughter wears it I can’t quit looking at her throughout the day and thinking, “That is one of the cutest skirts I have ever seen on her!” I love it!

And today you have the opportunity to win some of Olive Jane Designs' products. The first is a darling apron:

It is made from 100% pre-shrunk cotton. It is very flattering, functional, and even sexy! So in other words, watch out ladies, your man will want more than dinner when he comes through the door and sees you in one of Olive Jane Designs' aprons.

The second product you can enter to win today is a swim diaper cover:

Olive Jane Designs' swim diaper covers are worn OVER a regular swim diaper. Due to an outbreak of cryptosporidium last year, almost all of the public swimming pools in our area make children ages three and under wear a swim diaper PLUS another plastic diaper over the top. At our local pool plastic white swim diaper cover-ups are $8.00. They’re just plastic, and boring. So why not purchase a cute diaper cover-up? You can even have your child wear a rash guard on his or her upper body and one of Olive Jane Designs' swim diaper covers over the swim diaper on his or her lower body. WA-LA: you have double diapered your child AND you have a swimsuit all in one.

ATTENTION: Olive Jane Designs is giving FREE SHIPPING (Yay!) to the readers of Give Away Today. In the notes upon check out you need to enter the code “giveawaytoday” and then Olive Jane Designs will refund the shipping through Paypal—it’s the only way that the Etsy/Paypal combo will allow Olive Jane Designs to do it. But hey, we’ll take free shipping any way we can get it, right ladies (and gents).

Each person can enter to win the stylish apron or swim diaper cover from Olive Jane Designs up to THREE times today.

For one entry leave your first and last name in a comment.
Example: Jane Doe

For a second entry visit Olive Jane Designs’ website here. Look at all of their darling products and then come back to Give Away Today and in a NEW comment tell us your first and last name and one of Olive Jane Designs’ products that you wish you owned.
Example: Jane Doe: Blue Harlequin Waterproof Diaper Cover

For a third entry I thought it would be fun to learn about our reader’s most embarrassing moments. In a NEW comment tell us your first and last name and one of your most embarrassing moments (your embarassing moment does not have to be pool or swimming-related).
Example: Jane Doe: When I was in eighth grade my dad took me and my best friend swimming with a youth group of about twenty boys (we were the only girls who got to go). That morning I snuck into my sister’s room and grabbed one of her swimsuits to wear. My friend and I had a great time swimming. Afterwards we jumped out of the pool and began talking (and flirting) with the boys. My friend quickly suggested we go to the dressing room. As we were walking away my friend told me to look down. When wet, the swimming suit had become completely see-through!! My sister had discovered this too and wore it only when laying out. This was a hard way to learn that I shouldn’t wear my sister’s clothes without asking.

The winner of the great products from Olive Jane Designs will be announced tomorrow, March 12th. Please visit us then to see if you are one of our winners and to check out the new giveaway for the day. Thanks!

Tara Wiser: I was in high school, school had just got out and I was waiting for my mom to pick me up she was at work (which rented cars & she would somtimes drive them to get washed and gas them up). So I had been waiting about 20 min and then she pulled up in a rental car so I ran out the door and tried to get in the door was locked so she reached over and unlocked it a opened the door and sat down and started a conversation I talked for a couple of min and wondered why she had not redponed to any of my conversation so I look over to see a woman I did not know sitting there with a horrid look on her face. I immediatly went red in the face and apologized as I darted out of the car to see my mom sitting right behind us in our own car.

Cari Harrison:I have so many embarrassing moments! Hard to pick just one! I took mk kids to a water park and got talked into going down one of the huge waterslides. When I finally got down to the bottom and entered the big pool where several slides ended, I came into the pool on my belly. When I stood up to walk out I noticed several longer than normal looks and soon realized that my swim top was around my waist! It was time for us to leave anyway!

Christi Roeger - My most embarrassing moment EVER is when a group of us were at the zoo with our babies and a bird pooped on my head. It wasn't just your average sized bird poop - it was a bird who must have been eating mexican food - and had an upset tummy! SOOOOO embarrassing!!!

I was with my husbands entire family at a lake in Minnesota, we were boating and we came to great little beach with a tree and a tree swing. People had been climbing the tree and swinging off into the water. I thought I would have a go of it. I climbed up high trying to be brave, I jumped, I swung, I landed in the water, I came up with my swimsuit not covering were it should be covering. No big deal, only 2 video cameras caught EVERYTHING, and my father-in-law likes to remind me of the "flashing" every so often. YIKES!

Ashley Calaway: When I was a freshman in High School, I opened a door I thought my teacher told me to open, only to find out, it was the wrong one. I set off a TON of alarms, and conveniently enough, the boy I had a HUGE crush on, was in a class right above the gym and saw the whole thing happen. Needless to say, I was mortified.

My Passion said...

Brooke Jeffs When i was in the 5th Grade, we liked to chase boys around, so one boy I grabbed his hat and took off through the school. I ran into one of the rooms and the doors they had were about 4 inches thick of solid wood, when I was going through he slammed the door, and did not know my finger was still there, I just ran elsewhere so he couldn't see my cry because I was so embarrassed, but then they had to run me to the E.R. and I had broken my finger. I was excited in the end because I didn't have to play my violin for a couple of weeks, but till this day it is hard to see that boy.

the monkeys' mama said...

Allie Schellhammer--my most embarrassing moment was when I was visiting my future-boyfriend-soon-to-be-husband in England during spring break. I have a very small bladder with a tendency to drink large amounts of water (bad combo, I know). However, I was used to the convenience of available "WCs" in the USA so I didn't think it would be problematic to carry on with my water habit across the pond. Unfortunately, the pee pressure started when we were miles from the closest public WC and I ended up peeing in my pants right in front of him. Turns out he still found me endearing enough to date and then marry!

I was pushing a cart to my car fast so I could get home, but I pushed it to a car that was exactly like mine and these two young guys got to at the same time and mentioned it was theirs, so I turned towards mine and they offered to help me because I was pushing a huge prelight christmas tree. Got to my car and I slipped and fell on the ice. I felt so ridicilous and awkward trying to stand back up quickly before they needed to help me. They probably felt as uncomfortable as I did!

One of my M.E.M. is when I was in high school, I went to a study group with some friends including boys. I opened my backpack and pulled out my books, and stuck in between the books was a tampon. One of my most embarrassing and humbling days was only experienced by my mother and I! But it makes me blush every time I think of it!
I broke my ankle when I was a freshman in high school and had to take showers in a plastic lawn chair, that alone is awkward. Anyway so a few weeks in I was wiggling around and trying to get my soap and stuff, and the legs broke off the chair and I fell on my arse in the shower! I had to call and call and call to my mother! My brother and dad came to the door but I had to send them away!! I was like a turtle!

Mitzi Buck: As a senior in high school, I was getting to cheer at a football game, I and another cheerleader were walking out of the school towards the field, and right as we walked out of the doors the football team was coming in from their warm-ups. I stepped onto the grass to get out of the way and needless to say it wasn't grass but a big mud puddle which i slipped in and landed in right in front of the football team. I was covered in mud! It was embarassing then but I laugh about it now!

Sarah said...

Sarah Clark: In my high-school cafeteria, I was laughing at a funny story with a bunch of friends circled around. As my friends would laugh, the story seemed to get funnier and I would laugh even harder. It got to a point where I was so out of control with laughter that I had lost control of my bowels and had wet my pants. As soon as I knew what had happened, I stopped laughing and tried to get away without anyone noticing.... needless to say, everyone noticed and the "funny story" has another part to it when my friends tell it. I'm the punchline now.

I proceeded through the intersection & narrowly missed getting smashed into (on the instructors side no less)! This, of course, set me off with hysterical laughter...at which point I peed all over myself. I seriously could not stop it once it started. It was literally running onto the floor.
