Stars and Stripes Forever
Oh Tannenbaum
Adorable Onesies. Seriously, would these not be the cutest little treats at a baby shower? Or wouldn't it be fun to take them to a family who just brought home a new bundle of joy?
Karen's Cookies also sells cookie cards which explain how to make and decorate different cookies. Two such cards:
This one gives instructions for a pizza, watermelon, hamburger, taco, and hot dog!
And this one shows how to make a soccerball, volleyball, baseball, football, and a basketball.
But if by chance you just can't decide which cookie card instruction sheet to buy, you can enter to win (and/or purchase) the "My Cookie Book" which includes all 15 cookie cards (Recipe Card, Wedding Cake, Baby Buggy, Frog, Pizza, Patriotic Stars, School Bus, Sports Balls, Fall Leaves, Jack O Lantern, Ghost, Snowman, Santa, Christmas Trees, Snowflakes):
The thing I love best about Karen's Cookies products is that you will have them forever. For a fourth entry, in a NEW comment tell us your first and last name and a good idea for a birthday party that you have thrown or one in which you or someone you know has attended.
Example: Jane Doe: Last year I wanted to encourage my son to continue reading throughout the summer months. I told him if he would read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory we could have a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory party for his birthday at the end of July. When the time came, we delivered chocolate bars to each of his friends which contained a Golden Ticket inviting them to the party. As the boys arrived on party day, we divided them into groups and rotated to three stations. At one station they made suckers, at another they played musical chairs to the Oompa-Loompa music, and at the third they played "Don't Eat Pete" using the words "Willy, Willy, Wonka". At the end of the party we brought out two chocolate fountains for dessert. A good time was had by all.
The winner of the $30.00 gift certificate and "My Cookie Book" from Karen's Cookies will be announced tomorrow, Friday, July 10th. We do not contact the winners, so please visit us again tomorrow to see if you are our winner and to discover our new giveaway for the day. Thanks and have a great day!

Becky Bumstead- I would like some new cookie cutters and edible accents (so many fun different ones).
Coralie Stokes: We did this fun "fish" themed birthday party for my 2-year-old. I made this little "boat-house" that went over our dining room table (it was all made out of felt, had individual "wood" planks with gold "nails"/craft brads) and port holes. He got a fish for his birthday and then for the snack table - we had a big glass bowl (that looked like a fishbowl) filled with goldfish. It turned out pretty cute, I thought.

Lindy Wall: Since I already LOVE Karen's Cookies (who is a good friend of mine!) I have lots of the cutters already, but of coarse she added new ones, so I NEED them, too! :)
Jessica Valentine: I know everyone's done a pirate party, but if it's done right, they can be so fun. There's a bunch of sources online for pirate lingo, games, treats, etc. We did this for my sister (who's in her 20's) and it was a blast. It's not just for kids!
At work, we have Goody Day once a month. I always bring in cookies. Everyone enjoys my treats. I would love to have more cookie cutters and sanding sugars from Karen's Cookies website. I also love the cookie recipes and the tutitorals are very helpful.
Becky Bumstead- We did a backwards birthday party for my daugther. The invitations were written backwards, when the guest arrived we told them goodbye instead of hello. We let the kids eat their cake on the floor under the table. I made name tags for each kid with their names spelled backwards. The kids tought it was silly and had lots of fun.
