For my mom's 60th birthday my sisters and I surprised her by taking her to Salt Lake City for dinner, shopping, and to spend the night at a hotel.
A couple of days before our big "Girl's Night Out" I received the most stunning turquoise necklace, bracelet, and earrings from Lush Boutique. I was very excited to wear them with my sisters and mom while we shopped in Salt Lake.
When I walked out adorning my new jewelry from Lush Boutique, my sister said, "Oh my gosh, you look model-ish!"
Who?
Me?
The girl who was once told she looked like a young Jodie Foster in Freaky Friday?
Model-ish?
I don't recall ever being told I looked model-ish. And that's when I decided, when someone tells you you look model-ish, you take it and run, baby. And then you tell others about the brilliant jewelry you were wearing at the exact moment someone told you you looked like a model. Ish.
And so here it is.
The Very Lovely Jewelry from Lush Boutique.
I have decided that it is important to own a few really nice pieces of jewelry.
Some that are classic.
Some that go with everything.
And some that you can pass onto your daughters or nieces.
Lush Boutique offers exactly this type of jewelry (and no, that is not me in the above image). They specialize in fresh and chic handmade jewelry at an affordable price. Their favorite materials to use are turquoise, sterling silver, semi-precious gems, pearls, and basically anything else that is gorgeous. Lush Boutique offers affordable jewelry that is timeless and fashionably chic.
The owner of Lush Boutique says, "I love designing jewelry that makes beautiful women feel even more beautiful."
Or perhaps even, let's say, model-ish?

We were out of town one night and asked someone to deliver the present for us. When she was backing out of the driveway she got in a car accident. It cost $500 (and the person we did it for was staring at her out his window as the cops filed the police report, etc. Needless to say, he became a bit suspicious.)

We did the Twelve Days of Christmas for a family we knew from church, delivering a piece of a nativity each day. They lived in an apartment and I was always scared they would see me out the window or running up the stairs to place each piece on their doorstep. It was fun, but so nerve-wracking!

There was a lady there from the same area my husband and served his mission and they were talking and she was just the sweetest most sincere woman. She didn't have all of the correct information for one of her children and was heartbroken when they wouldn't let her submit that child's name. We did something they maybe wouldn't have been too happy about and copied down all of her information and on Christmas Eve our mine and my husband's family took them a Christmas tree and all the decorations along with a lot of food and presents. It was such and AMAZING experience. They were so grateful! I don't think they remembered who we were, but they were really so happy. They honestly had nothing there for Christmas, it was such an amazing feeling.

As a kid my parents would pick a family to help. One year the family we picked didn't have much food for Christmas dinner. So we found that their car was unlocked and put many bags of groceries into the front seat. Then as we were deciding who would ring the doorbell we accidentlly set off their other cars alarm! We all ran and hid! The looks on their faces was somthing I will never forget. First fear that something was wrong, to finding that huge ham! I'm so glad that as I now have my own children I can teach them the love of giving!

Vania Garcia-Morett: This Christmas a lot of my dad's associate pastors (he's a pastor) turned their back on them and planned a whole conspiracy against him to knock him out of "power". Not only did they do that, but they have been trying to defame him, and have involved a bunch of people from the church to ridicule him infront of everyone and he's been devistated. My dad is a type one diabetic and has heart problems... after this whole fiasco, both of my parents need a day off. So, even though I do not have a job. I am selling hand made headbands and jewelery to raise money in order to send them on a romantic get away for their anniversary on the 21st.
