I grew up in a home from the 1870s. It wasn't particularly girly except for some wallpaper with small flowers on it. And it had a play kitchen my dad made for me. My room was large with a fireplace (with a space heater in it). It had hardwood floors that creaked. It also had a faux oriental rug that was made out of wood- it was odd, but most of the rooms had these faux wood rugs.

Marianne Ogg: My childhood room was not very themed. I'm the youngest of 7 kids so I got all the "left overs". I did have pink purple and blue butterfly curtains, and we found a matching light at a garage sale.
Kara Johnson- My room had red carpet :( There was wall paper on the walls with small pink flowers with a chair rail half way down. I had a pink beadspread that my grandma made me. The best part is I don't like pink. My mom just did the pink to try and make the carpet work!
Kari Rudd- Butterflies and mushrooms
Keri Anderson: I am the "spoiled" youngest child and the biggest point of my room childhood room that I remember is the... well, this doesn't sound too nice but... "puke-green" carpet. It was great, comfy carpet though--and let's just say it went GREAT with the pink walls. I also had the best bed. It was a little twin bed on one of those frames that had all the drawers and storage underneath. Those drawers were my treasure chests, they kept all my toys safe!
Kari Rudd- My sister and I shared a room with Raggedy Ann and Andy wall paper and red carpet.
Casey Cheshire: Flowers and Fairies

Brittney withers: Mushroom & butterflies

I am number 4 of 9 kids. The 6 boys lived in one room which consisted of 2 triple bunk beds that my father had made. My sisters and I had a bunk bed and my little sister slept on a smaller bed. OUr house was a total of 900 sqft. Super small for a family of 11. Well our room was very crowded with 2 dressers and our beds. We still had lots of fun. Beka my older sister and I would have fashion shows with clothes we would put together and also with sheets. We would have singing contests and found lots of ways to entertain ourselves.
Marianne Ogg: I have a little boy and I think the Toot Toot painting or the Duck would look great in his room. Its fish themed, so if I won, I would get the Duck painting, buy the toot toot painting, and ask her if she could do a fish one too. Wouldn't that be cute!
Casey Cheshire: I always shared my Queen size bed with one of my younger sisters. We didn't have a theme, but we had the nice red/orange shag carpet!

Jamie Rasmussen - My childhood bedroom was simple in decoration but it was in the upstairs of an old home so the character of the room due to the architecture was awesome. I had a built-in nook where I could put my dolls or other toys or I could even hide in there myself. I also had two built-in drawers below the nook that I would use to store books and papers from school. One day a book fell behind the drawer and I pulled out the drawer to climb into the wall to find it and was shocked to find papers and books from the 1950s and later. My father was raised in the same house where I grew up so the papers belonged to him and his siblings. We sifted through the contents and found old homework, music rehearsal pieces and, best of all, love letters from my dad to my mom before they were married.
Melanie Nelson: I would love either some cute safari animal paintings or a comic race car for my two year old sons room.
Cory Mattson--A Canvas of traditional lady bugs with white daisies for my newborn's room.
