We all deserve someone to believe in us. Heritage School knows that before we can believe in healing, hope, and possibility, we first have to believe in ourselves. Heritage Schools, Inc., located in Provo, Utah, is a nonprofit residential treatment center for teens. For the last 10 years, they have put on an annual musical featuring their students. Putting on a theatrical production in a residential treatment facility is a real challenge, but Heritage School is committed to the arts and helping these kids use the natural drama that’s in them. This is a hard thing to do in a treatment center. They have a structured environment, but during the play it becomes a little unstructured. It gives the kids a chance to be part of something normal, a high school production.
Heritage School finds a part for every student who auditions. By using professional sets, costumes, and directors, Heritage gives a boost to the young performers, helping them to achieve successes they never thought possible. They have an opportunity to heal and grow, discovering talents they, and those around them, never knew they had. At first they are surprised anyone would even come to see them perform. In the end, the audience rises to their feet with tears and cheers, acknowledging the courage and growth of these young performers.
Please enter to win if you are able to attend this amazing performance. And if you are not one of our lucky winners, you will receive the following DISCOUNT: Get $1 off tickets (final cost $6 each) by sending an email to tickets@heritagertc.org with “Give Away Today” in the subject line. Please support these kids and their hard work by attending their great performance on September 24, 25, or 26th.
