Today, August 18th, we are Giving Away... (CLAIMED)

Gorgeous Hair Accessories from Lyla Lou's to TWO Winners

I recently cut my hair. Shorter than it has been in twenty years. So short, in fact, that it is necessary for me to use a round brush. I hate using a round brush. It makes my arm tired.

When my daughter first saw my new haircut she asked, “Why did you cut your hair?” She asked this in the same tone you might ask someone, “Why do you murder the neighbor’s cat?” or “Why did you set that building on fire?” She’s not a big fan of my new do. She thinks moms should have long hair.

I wasn’t quite sure about my hair at first, but I have to admit, it is growing on me (no pun intended). And this is why. I love placing stylish hair accessories in it.

Stylish hair accessories from Lyla Lous, to be exact.

They have the cutest flowers:
The most fashionable headbands: For adults and for children:
Lyla Lou's even remembers our wee ones. They offer soft baby headbands too:

Lyla Lou's hair accessories are not your average, run-of-the-mill flimsy little flowers. No sir. They are of high-quality and will make the perfect addition to any outfit. Two of my favorite things about the products I received from Lyla Lou's? The bling in the middle of the flowers. And the fact that their headbands have extra padding so that it doesn't hurt for you or your little one to wear the headband. After all, it shouldn't be painful to be fashionable.

And it shouldn't be expensive to be fashionable either. That is why Lyla Lou's offers great prices which they would like to make even greater by offering you a DISCOUNT! Lyla Lou's is offering the readers of Give Away Today a 25% discount off a purchase of $25 or more. The coupon code is "GIVEAWAY09". It will expire on September 18th.

Today Lyla Lou's will be giving away items to TWO separate winners. Each winner will receive a Turquoise & White Lyla Headband:
and the Orange Lou Lou clip (I own this. I love this):

Each person can enter to win from up to FOUR times today. This giveaway is open to anyone, regardless of where you reside.

For one entry, leave your first and last name in a comment.
Example: Jane Doe

For a second entry visit Lyla Lou's online shoppe here. Look at all of their gorgeous hair accessories. Then come back to Give Away Today and in a NEW comment tell us your first and last name and an item or two you wish you owned from Lyla Lou's.
Example: Jane Doe: This weekend my daughter and I organized her clothes for the upcoming school year. I realized she could use a red and an olive flower. Therefore, the Cranberry Zoe Clip and the Green Lou Lou Clip would be great.

For a third entry, become a blog follower of Give Away Today over there on the right-hand side. Once you have become a follower, or if you already follower, in a NEW comment, tell us your first and last name and the word "Follower."
Example: Jane Doe: Follower

For a fourth entry, when one of my neighbors saw my new haircut for the first time she said, “You got your haircut. That was really brave of you.” When I told this to my husband he said that she definitely meant it as a compliment.
“You think?” I asked him.
“Bravery is a good thing,” he replied.
“Yeah when you’re in war, but bravery when you get your haircut? I'm not so sure.”
So my question to you, dear friends, is when someone says to you, “You got your haircut. That was really brave of you.” are they giving you a compliment? In a NEW comment, please tell me your first and last name and your answer to this question.
Example: Jane Doe: Hmmmm...

The winners of the hair accessories from Lyla Lou's will be announced tomorrow, August 19th. Please visit us then to see if you are one of our winners and to check out our new giveaway for the day. See you tomorrow!

Jolynn Page: I would take it as a compliment. I recently cut 10 inches off my hair, and it did take a lot of guts to do it...I was pretty proud of that. Bravery is good- she may not have the guts to do something like that even if she wanted to.

Brenda Nguyen: I like the Lou Lou headband for myself because I am feeling "fall-ish," & the Trixie headband would be adorable on my daughter. =) I wonder if Lylalou would ever make a LEAF headband for fall . . .

Jessica Clark: I love the green trixie headband and the cranberry zoe clip. Great products! They are all so cute.

Jori Thomas: I think it's a compliment, if you did a major change you are being brave. If she didn't like it she probably would have just smiled and said it look nice.

Jessica Clark: I would take it as a compliment. It's hard to make such a drastic change. Good for you!

Annette Anderson. My 5 year old grandaughter loves for everything to match with the clothes she wears. So we noticed she needed an orange bow ---so the Ruthie would match perfectly and she needed one to go with a yellow outfit so we like the Trixie ! She starts school next Mon. and these would be darling! Thanks, A.Anderson

Julie Pocock: I'm SURE your new 'do is cute, but I'm thinking her statement implies that she doesn't love it. (Sorry! Hopefully I'm wrong!) Ironically, I've had longer hair for a while and I have an appointment tomorrow where I was planning on chopping mine short. Now I'm gonna have to rethink...

Amy Horsburgh- the Ruthie headband, great for fall

Amy said...

Amy Horsburgh- I hope it gets translated as a compliment cuz I just said that to my neighbor that cut her hair like Posh Spice, I mean it as she's cute enough to pull a cool haircut like that off!

That is not a compliment.

I would say "what? you hate it?"

The Hyding Place said...

Jamie Hyde: It is not a compliment or a negative comment. They were simply stating that they were surprised by your bravery probably because they are too chicken to ever go for the short cut. Not an insult or compliment.
